Expert: Pneumonia risk in elderly continues to rise

An expert on pneumonia says he believes a recently reported trend of the condition increasingly being a problem for older adults will continue, and he says part of the problem involves seniors who avoid getting flu shots. Dr. Dale Bratzler, coordinator for the Medicare national pneumonia project, also says there is a need for better preventive vaccines.
