$1B Bridge in China sets new records

The nearly $1 billion Sutong Bridge crossing the Yangtze River in China sets a variety of new bridge records, including the longest cable-stayed span, the largest piled foundations, the second-tallest towers and the longest cable. The 3,570-foot-long bridge connects the cities of Nantong and Suzhou and is due to open to traffic in May of 2008.
