E-prescribing benefits Toledo-area physicians

Although around 10% of U.S. doctors currently use e-prescribing systems, the government hopes that more will follow as Medicare offers incentive bonuses to doctors who switch by 2012. Toledo-area physicians say that the program has helped increase prescription accuracy, eliminate unnecessary paperwork and makes patients less responsible for holding on to paper prescriptions.
