In 1866, Mark Twain wrote: "I went to Maui to stay a week and remained five." That sentiment is alive and well today as visitors quickly discover the charm, beauty and attraction of Hawaii's second-largest island. Furthermore, the economic downturn has made Maui more affordable than usual.
