China to U.S.: No Taiwan arms sales

China is asking the U.S. to reject Taiwan's request for additional fighter jets, helicopters and other weapons. "We urge the U.S. to recognize the gravity of selling arms to Taiwan ... cancel any plans to sell arms to Taiwan and stop selling arms to Taiwan so as not to damage China-U.S. relations," said a spokeswoman for the Chinese foreign ministry.
