China's Suning plans to bolster stores by 34% this year

Suning Appliance, one of the largest electronics retailers in China, is planning an aggressive expansion in 2010 as it predicts a surge in consumer spending. "The worst-case scenario for the economy didn't materialise and the best of times have yet to arrive, so there's vast room for growth," Suning President Sun Weimin said. "We still aren't as entrenched in our store network in China, and we want to plug those holes."
