Commentary: Bombardier's rail unit keeps company profitable

Bombardier's booming success in the rail business has been overshadowed by problems in its aircraft-manufacturing segment, columnist David Olive writes. Revenue in the aircraft unit in the most recent quarter was down 9%, but Bombardier's rail business saw sales increase 11%. The company is focusing on building high-end, high-speed rail cars.
