November construction spending declines

Construction spending declined 0.6% in November, the seventh straight monthly drop, according to the Commerce Department, as high levels of residential foreclosures and office vacancies continue to damp a recovery in the construction market. Non-residential construction was down 11% from year-ago levels. A flat October estimate was revised to a 0.5% decline.
