Pythons are increasingly seen across Florida, threatening other states

Nonnative Burmese pythons, which can be up to 20 feet long and roughly 250 pounds, are spreading across Florida. Experts fear they may cross into other states soon, using land and sea. Likely the result of exotic-pet owners who released the massive snakes, the python population also threatens endangered wildlife.
