Study: Private insurers have expanded Medicare, Medicaid business

Medicaid and Medicare business accounts for 42% of large insurance firms' revenues, up from 36% three years ago, according to a Bloomberg Government study. Major insurers saw operating-margin growth during that period, even though revenue from private insurance business changed little. The report suggests that major insurers will continue to increase the government portion of their business under the 2010 health care law.
