CDC releases final data on U.S. births in 2012

The number of births recorded across the U.S. in 2012 was nearly 4 million, about 700 fewer than in 2011, CDC researchers said. Birth rates for teenage girls and women in their early 20s dropped, while the proportion of women giving birth in their 30s rose slightly, according to the report.
