New Hampshire middle-school pupils receive laptops

New Hampshire this week began giving laptops to 600 seventh-graders and 40 teachers at schools with high property tax rates and low test scores. Gov. Craig Benson, a former high-tech CEO who helped raise $1.3 million in private donations for the laptop program, urged students to be patient while teachers learn the devices' capabilities.
