World Trade Center fire revisited for study

At the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Md., portions of the Sept. 11 fire at the World Trade Center are being simulated and examined. The simulations are expected to advance the study of how fires affect structures and could help with safety recommendations for high-rise buildings.
