CMS to work with health care organizations on 5010 testing

Four major health care organizations -- The Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise Initiative, and the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association -- will work with CMS to test the new X12 HIPAA 5010 transaction standards through different projects. The groups will use standards from CAQH and HITSP while testing the codes through current tools, best practices and public-private collaborations.
