High schoolers get early student teaching experience

A Michigan school district is giving high schoolers with an interest in teaching a chance to spend time working with younger students in an elementary or middle school classroom. One Huron Valley teacher described the program as student teaching for high school students, who are even able to lead their own lessons toward the end of the semester.
