Michigan to provide free care to rape survivors

A new Michigan law requires hospital emergency departments and other health care providers to seek reimbursement from a state crime victims fund, rather than billing sexual assault patients. Other new laws will fund and expand emergency clinics that provide free care to rape survivors using nurse examiners.
