Australian retail sales climb 1.4% in November

Retail sales in Australia recorded their largest increase since the government ended its stimulus payments in March by jumping 1.4% in November. Experts had predicted a 0.3% increase. "An absolutely smashing result," said ANZ economist Julie Toth. "Way beyond market expectations. Beyond our expectations."
