China's nonfinancial investment in Africa skyrockets

Excluding financial investment, China invested $875 million in Africa last year through September, a 77.5% increase, the Chinese Commerce Ministry said. The country also inked $33 billion in labor-service contracts in Africa through October, an increase of 2% compared with the same period in 2008.
