FDIC might link fund contributions to banks' pay plans

Officials at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. are considering tying contributions from banks to the fund that insures savings of depositors to a regulatory assessment of the banks' compensation policies. The FDIC said its board will meet early next week to discuss proposals related to employee compensation but did not provide details.
