Ohio agency recommends increased emphasis on classroom technology

Ohio educators should work to increase their use of technology in the classroom to better prepare students for college and the workforce, an Ohio state agency is recommending in a report. ETech Ohio has submitted a five-year plan for the state that would provide extra training for teachers to integrate technology such as podcasts, social networking and other digital media into classroom learning. The agency also recommended that the state encourage schools and colleges to provide more online-learning options.
