Study: HRT doesn't slow physical decline in older women

Researchers who studied 2,400 older women taking either hormone replacement therapy or a placebo found both groups had similar declines in muscle strength and walking speed over six years. Earlier research had suggested reduced estrogen levels could contribute to muscle loss and declines in physical function as women age.
