Google expands trial of e-mail-collection ad units

Google has expanded its trial of AdWords units that allow marketers to collect e-mail addresses directly within the ad unit. The units allow single-click subscriptions by users who already are signed in with their Google log-in. "[O]ur team is getting a lot of interest from advertisers ... These ads help businesses gather new leads and enable users to easily get relevant information and ask for quotes," a Google representative said.
