If you want to be an entrepreneur, you have to be willing to take the plunge despite the risks involved, writes Rich Enos. "I'm convinced that the single defining factor of entrepreneurs is that they have the gumption (or foolhardiness) to step across that threshold and enter the world of being self-employed." Luckily, though, it's becoming cheaper and easier to test new ideas in many industries, he notes.
