Honey adds a new kind of sweetness to sugary cocktails

Honey has become the latest sweetener in bartenders' tool kits, adding an even smoothness to cocktails. There are more than 300 varieties found in the U.S., allowing for a mix of flavors, either by adding honey directly to a drink or making into a simple syrup. "It is important to remember that honey is about 25% sweeter than sugar," said the National Honey Board's Jessica Schindler.
