Program offers engineers as consultants to Mich. small, midsized businesses

Michigan companies with fewer than 500 employees have since the 1990s been able to get assistance from chemical engineers and other retirees through the Michigan Retired Engineer Technical Assistance Program. The engineers "are real professionals that have our best interest at heart and are proud to share their high level of knowledge and experience with us," said Jon Subar, president of Model Coverall Service, which used the program.
