Ad spend on social networks is increasing globally but North America leads in the amount spent per user, with twice as much spent by advertisers there than in Western Europe, according to eMarketer. Spend per user is expected to reach $32.82 in North America this year, dwarfing the global average of $6.97. By percentage, the Middle East and Africa region is seeing the largest spend increases, with a projected 63.9% jump this year.
