YP buys location data startup Sense Networks

Digital advertising agency YP purchased location data firm Sense Networks on Monday for an undisclosed amount. Sense's technology tracks whether a mobile user goes into a brick-and-mortar after seeing a company's mobile advertisement. The deal represents the growing importance that location technology has for mobile advertisers, writes Elizabeth Dwoskin.
