Missouri districts file suit over school funding

More than 240 public school districts have filed a lawsuit challenging Missouri's funding formula as unconstitutional and inequitable. In fiscal year 2002, school spending, based on combined local and state revenues, ranged from $13,748 in a St. Louis suburb to $4,561 in a rural southwest district.
