Court rules in Cordis' favor in stent-patent case

A U.S. appeals court ruled in favor of Johnson & Johnson unit Cordis Group in the patent-infringement case it filed against Medtronic and Boston Scientific over heart stents. The appeals court also reversed a lower-court ruling that invalidated one of Cordis' patent claims. A Medtronic spokesman said the company is "considering our judicial and administrative options."
