McDonald's ventures into specialty-coffee market

McDonald's Corp. will place specialty-coffee bars in its U.S. locations to serve coffee favorites, smoothies, bottled beverages and Frappe, the company's take on Starbucks Corp.'s Frappuccino. The quickservice company hopes its entrance into the specialty-coffee market will help boost its $21.6 billion annual sales by another billion.
