Bush to commemorate NCLB's seventh anniversary

President George W. Bush will ask lawmakers not to "water down standards or roll back accountability" on NCLB after he leaves office, said White House spokesman Scott Stanzel. To mark the seventh anniversary of No Child Left Behind today, Bush will speak from a Philadelphia school that has outperformed its neighbors, and the outgoing president is expected to cite other examples of how the education law has affected teachers' and children's lives.
