Los Angeles may seek additional funding for proposed rail line

A proposed rail line in Los Angeles will not be finished until sometime after 2032, under a timetable set by transportation officials. A spokesman for the mayor's office said the city may seek federal funding for the "Subway to the Sea," which would accelerate the project's timeline. The project is slated to receive $4.1 billion, but officials estimate the Westside project will cost more than $6 billion.
