Travel agents, cruise lines await results of wave season

Although travel agents and cruise lines say the importance of the so-called wave season has been declining, they are anxiously awaiting the results this year. The wave season is typically a busy time for selling cruises, although more cruises are now being sold year-round. The economic downturn has changed the playing field, however, and this year the wave season is being seen as a barometer of the challenges ahead.
