Florida congresswoman appeals to Obama for rail funds

As the government nears a decision on which states will get some of the $8 billion in high-speed rail funding, Florida appealed to the chief. U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla., made the case for Florida rail to President Barack Obama in a letter this week. The state, which is suffering one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, has asked for $2.5 billion in federal stimulus funds.
