Indiana lawmakers consider moving riverboat casinos on land

Indiana lawmakers will consider a proposal to allow riverboat casinos to move ashore because of increased competition from the neighboring state of Ohio. Riverboat casinos on the Ohio River could lose up to $260 million in revenue the first year, once Ohio opens a casino in Cincinnati, according to an analysis. Other casinos on Lake Michigan in Gary, Ind., could move to the city proper under the proposal.
