Seidenberg issues profit warning, but remains bullish

Verizon Communications CEO Ivan Seidenberg cited "pension headwinds" Wednesday when he said at an analysts conference that the telecom's 2009 profit would fall short of expectations. But he also issued a bullish outlook for Verizon's wireless business, saying the carrier outperformed its goal of adding 1 million subscribers in the fourth quarter. And he played down the possibility of a deal to buy out its partner Vodafone.
