Shell gets conditional approval for Chukchi drilling project

The Environmental Protection Agency gave conditional approval to an air-quality permit that Royal Dutch Shell needs to conduct drilling in Alaska's Chukchi Sea. The agency's move was a significant step for Shell, which plans to drill some of the area's leases it acquired for $2.1 billion, company executive Pete Slaiby said.
