Forrester: Build an app, or risk losing customers

A Forrester report warns that those companies failing to develop mobile applications are in danger of losing their customers to those that do. Unique and functional mobile apps can "increase loyalty or pull customers away from their incumbent banks, retailers and media companies," the report says. Forrester cites mobile payments, mapping, identity and telecommunications as areas ripe for disruption.
