GOP looks for Medicaid compromise as Mo. Legislature convenes

Missouri lawmakers will open their legislative session on Wednesday, and whether to expand the state's Medicaid program is expected to be a top issue. Republicans who control the Legislature generally are against expansion, but several House GOP members are said to be considering how to transform, not just expand, Medicaid. There are questions, however, about whether a partial plan would qualify for federal money available under the health care law.
