Brands increasingly are using social sites such as YouTube, Tumblr and Facebook as hubs for their online activity, but that doesn't mean conventional branded websites are passé. Studies show that consumers perceive branded websites as much more trustworthy than social media pages, and that shoppers spend more on brands when they've visited an associated website.
