N.H. schools welcome flexibility in federal meal standards

School nutrition professionals in some New Hampshire districts say relaxed federal school-meal standards give them additional time to ensure their implementation is successful. Students also will have more time to adjust to the changes, officials say. "We're just going to keep reinforcing to the kids that they need to fill up on the fruits and veggies," said Donna T. Reynolds, foodservices director. "And hopefully that will catch on."
