Strong sales help fuel Blue Bell expansion

Blue Bell Ice Cream is planning to expand its plant in Brentham, Texas, by 25% after benefiting from increased sales over the past few years, Blue Bell's Paul Prazak says. A tax "phase-in" will help Blue Bell complete the project by saving the company $442,000 over eight years, according to a city official. The $14 million project will add about 100,000 square feet to the plant.
