Jackson Family Wines, food safety lab partner on brettanomyces tests

After seven years of ensuring food quality, Invisible Sentinel is turning its work to protecting wine from brettanomyces, the yeast found in red wines that can ruin the taste for some drinkers. The lab is partnering with Jackson Family Wines to develop a quick and easy $20 test to detect the yeast. "We can train anyone to use the test in 15 minutes," said Invisible Sentinel CEO Nicholas Siciliano.
