Study: Traffic light-based food labels may promote healthy diet

Labeling foods with a traffic light system may help promote healthy eating among individuals, a study at the cafeteria of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston indicated. Researchers found that sales of green-labeled healthy foods increased 12%, while sales of red-labeled junk foods and unhealthy drinks declined by 20% and 39%.
