Boston To Open Technology-Based High School

Boston Public Schools yesterday announced plans to launch a magnet high school to train students to work in the high-tech sector. The school would include internships in the industry and certification in programming, webmastering and database administration. The school district and a local church are assisting with the launch, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation tentatively has agreed to pitch in nearly $500,000.
