U.K. Labour MP: Recruit More Black Male Teachers

Labour MP Diane Abbott says a collapse in achievement among black male high school students in the U.K. could be averted by recruiting more male teachers of Caribbean descent. School standards minister Stephen Timms acknowledges a lack of role models for black primary school children and says the government is addressing the issue by employing young black males as "learning mentors" to serve a supporting role in schools.
