New York Regents exam comes under scrutiny

When a parent last June discovered the state expunged references to race, religion, ethnicity, sex, nudity and alcohol, the state promised not to repeat its censorship in last August's exams. Yet, a vigilant parent discovered further examples of sanitized literature in the most recent test. More insidiously, some questions could have had several correct answers, leading some to question if students who failed this year's exams might actually have passed.
