New Jersey enacts anti-sprawl law to protect waterways

New Jersey has enacted anti-sprawl legislation that will curb development along 6,093 miles of state waterways. Under the legislation, no new housing can be built within 300 feet of the designated waterways, plus non-point source pollution, which includes runoff from roads, lawns and industry will be penalized.
