Southeast sees strong construction growth in 2006

Construction in the southeast region of the U.S. was up more than 9% in the first nine months of 2005, compared to the same period last year, and an extensive look at upcoming developments in places like Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Florida, indicates there is plenty of work and growth in the region, according to Ken Simonson, chief economist for the Associated General Contractors of America.
