Study: Switchgrass more efficient in biofuel production

A team of U.S. scientists discovered that switchgrass yielded 540% more energy as a biofuel than the energy it takes to produce it, compared with 25% more energy for corn ethanol. The study also showed that greenhouse gas emission from switchgrass fuel would be 94% lower than emissions from petroleum fuel.
